Kwik Sew 3422, Men's Long-Sleeved Shirt

I meant to make this for Doug, for Christmas, but didn't quite get it finished. I had some top-stitching left, plus the buttons to get done, so I finished that up today.

Here is the dreadful hanger shot. This is a light blue, although darker than it appears here. I have NO idea how to correct color when editing my photos. I use PhotoScape,if anyone has any tips to share.

front placket, button

The pocket detail. I'm pretty happy with how this looks.

collar and shoulder top stitching.

tag inside. the satin stitch was bunchy on this fabric

The sleeve placket and cuff. I'm pleased with how these turned out: I haven't done one since about 1993. Yikes!

back yoke and sleeve top stitching.

On Doug, who was crabby and wouldn't pose, although he likes his new shirt. One would think a new shirt would cheer one up a bit, right?

Of course it does!!

And the back. Look at this fit!! I made the size small in this pattern, with a size medium length in sleeve and hem.

Perfect! This pattern is really easy to sew, and goes together well. Doug is especially pleased with the modern and non-boxy fit.

Love that material and it looks great on him. Now if only we could get Doug to make the cheese face! :D
