My sewing this week.....

Since my fav sewing machine is in the shop, I thought I might finally get around to doing some summer sewing for William. Never mind that it's nearly July. This is Camelot, don't you know?
William won't need long sleeves until November, and that will be only occasionally.

In case you didn't know, clicking the pics shows them larger.
The first one is an alien/planets print. Very funny! Different pattern from the others and a bit too large, so I haven't been in a hurry to get the buttons on it.

Owl Towels and Baby Outfit Sets

I've been frantically busy making these tiny owl outfits (all of them in blue so far!).
I made one for a shower gift, then word got out and I made three more! WHEW!!!
I do think they're adorable, though, and am saving a bit of the fabric for my own baby. Besides an outfit for myself, I have one more to do in pink! But it's not due until July so I can probably wait until, say, June 30 to start on that! :)

Haircuts and Rain

I took William for a haircut today, to a place just for kids. He wasn't impressed. We swung by Starbuck's (of course) for a chai and an apple juice first. Then we went to Snip Its.

Here's his hair before the cut. I WANT his hair to be long, but I don't really dig this homeless look.

13 1/2 Weeks to go!!

Here's my 26 1/2 week pic. I finally look pregnant rather than looking like I skipped a few years' work-outs!

William's Free-Wheeling Shenanigans

Since moving into the townhouse "we" have been slow at getting the cabinets child-proofed and obtaining proper storage for all of our belongings. It's QUITE the organizational nightmare! BUT William has been partying for at least a week in all the fun things he can now get into!! WOOT!!!

Again: It's the Amanda Show!

Amanda graduated from high school on Friday, May 30th!! Congratulations, Amanda!!
And don't forget to send out those thank you notes!!! ;)

Walking across the stage, diploma in hand!

Look what I made!!!

So in the middle of the moving, my escape was sewing....it was a little tricky since I have no designated sewing area which meant that I was sewing defensively the entire time (from William...arg).
Anyhow, a friend's daughter had a 50's dance coming up and needed an outfit. So I whipped up a skirt and hair scarf/tie, appliquéd a blouse, painted some shoes and she was good to go!! My friend Kat made the flooooooofffyy petticoat.
