Has it been MORE than a week?

Wow! Time flies, and I haven't even had THAT much fun!
I've been selling some excess fabric on Sewing Mamas to get money for a snap press! It's been going well except I have a couple of flakers who haven't paid yet. I'm gonna have to lay the SMACK DOWN on those Mamas!
I still have some fabric left and I've put here in case anyone's interested: it's really good cotton knit jersey. I use it for making baby clothes and shirts, and it's heavier than regular tee shirt material. VERY nice!

I have available still:
Periwinkle 2 yd
Burgundy 3 yd
Turquoise 3 yd
Olive 4 yd
Tan 3 yd

Price is $3 yd, $1 handling, plus shipping.

Sundays Kick My Butt

Whew, Sundays wear me out! I am the "nursery director" (tee hee) at my church, and not only do I keep babies and toddlers while their parents are in church and Sunday School, I actually have a Sunday School lesson for them each week as well.

Today on my never-ending to-do list: Shopping, straightening my craft room and SEWING LONGIES for my store. I have, that I can see from here, 16 whole sweater from which I can make two pairs of longies each, and 12 partial sweaters from which I will make one pair of longies each.
So if I sew ALL of them today, I will have made 44 pairs of longies.

Yummy! My bread recipe.

On today's agenda is bread making! We LOVE our homemade bread here and I think William would eat a whole loaf if I let him! Instead, he has to make due with a measly slice...

RECIPE:
Italian Style Bread
Put all ingredients in bread machine pan in this order.
1 1/2 c hot tap water
2 T olive oil (or flax seed oil, butter, etc)
1 1/2 t salt
4 1/4 c flour (may substitute up to 1 1/2 c with whole wheat flour)
1 T brown sugar (honey, jaggery, any sugar will work)
1 T vital gluten
2 1/2 t yeast

Put pan into machine and set on dough cycle.
After completion, remove and knead lightly on floured board. Form into two loaves (or favorite shapes) and place in greased pans. Cover with a towel and rise until doubled in a warm, draft-free spot. I use my oven with the light turned on.

When risen, remove towel and bake on 350 about 20 m or until lightly browned. You may baste the top crust w/ butter or olive oil. Let cool 5 m, turn out on rack, cool 10m more. Put in air tight container while still very warm.
