A Monday Recipe: Layered Gelatin Dessert!
What's your favorite flavor?
this is fantastic looking, makes 20 servings, and is only 2 WeightWatchers Points. WINNER!!
I don't know about you, but having gelatin for dessert when I was a kid was a big deal!!! We had orange and lime a lot, because those were mom's favorites but secretly I loved CHERRY!!
I found this recipe on JustJenn's blog, where you can find step-by-step illustrations. Very useful. :)
I'll list the ingredients, and tell you my tips, but you can go visit her great blog for the steps.
Here are the ingredients. I happened to have these colors plus all the other ingredients already.
4 packages JELLO (3 oz each)
orange, lime, blue raspberry, strawberry
6 envelopes KNOX unflavored gelatin
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
In addition, you'll need a lot of hot water. In her instructions she says use hot water, so that's what I did, right from the tap. Worked perfectly!
You do not need to grease your pan, at all.
In order for the gelatin mixture to be cool enough to pour into the pan, make it as soon as the pan goes back into the refrigerator for the previous step.
Also, use 3/4 of a cup of the milk mixture for each layer, so there's enough for the top.
Those are all of my tips! It's so yummy
Do you have a fantastic gelatin recipe, or a tip for me?? Please share! I'm newly on my gelatin dessert journey, and I'm feeling confident after this success! What do you love to make/eat?

I love the look of this, but the hot water from the tap is asking for a toxic soup of dessert. Never use hot water from the tap to cook. It it full of dissolved metal from the plumbing.

I'm thinking of a green and blue number.
Thanks for the tip, Eljean! Blue and green sounds lovely!
